 Welcome to The EFT Seminar!

I am delighted to welcome you on the exciting journey we are about to take together!

For many years I’ve been writing about EFT, as well as performing scientific research and training professionals in these skills.

I’ve witnessed literally thousands of people change their lives. Long-standing challenges often just melt away, and their emotional lives are transformed. As you take this course, and practice the techniques you learn, you’ll begin to see changes in yourself and those you serve. I know you’re going to have many insights and epiphanies as you explore the material.

The EFT Seminar is a very brief seven-module introduction to the core concepts and techniques of Clinical EFT. The modular format of this online course is designed to make the learning process quick and easy, and give you an understanding of the principles of EFT before you take a live professional workshop. In this way, you’ll start your live training experience with a store of background knowledge, freeing up the workshop time for hands-on practice in the form of demonstrations, exercises and discussion.

Clinical EFT is science-based, so you’ll find evidence and research a cornerstone of the course. This allows you to use it with others with confidence that you’re offering them an evidence-based practice.

The knowledge and information you gain in this course is the priceless distillation of literally decades of work and clinical practice by team members and colleagues of mine. Please read this Quick Start Guide now and become familiar with it, since it contains the essence of what you’ll need to navigate the course quickly and easily.

Why Completing The EFT Seminar is Part of Clinical EFT Training

Completion of this course is a prerequisite for attending the live 4 Day Professional Skills Training.

The reason for this is that we want to maximize your learning experience during the live workshop.

The way to do this is to provide you with all the basic concepts of Clinical EFT before you begin the live training. That frees up time in the live class for hands-on work in the form of demonstrations, exercises, and feedback. You’ll get a great deal of valuable experience practicing EFT in the class, because you’ll walk into the classroom understanding the essentials you’ve learned in The EFT Seminar.

The live classes are highly experiential, and their effectiveness depends on all the participants having grasped the basic ideas contained in The EFT Seminar before the class starts.

The EFT Seminar will take you 5 to 10 hours to complete. It’s broken into 7 Lessons. There is a knowledge exam at the end, and you’ll easily pass if you’ve read the material. Several of the Lessons also contain a mini-quiz with questions drawn from the knowledge exam. This will familiarize you with the quiz format.

So before your live workshop, please complete the course, take the exam, and print out your Certificate of Completion. Take it with you to the class so that you can show it to the trainer if necessary.

This will guarantee the most productive live workshop for you and everyone else in the room.

Now, please read the Quick Start Guide below to get you going with this exciting course!

Quick Start Guide

Navigating the 7 Lessons

The way this course builds your knowledge of Clinical EFT is based on over 2 decades training thousands of people. We know this approach works! We’ve broken the material down into 7 Lessons. Each one builds on the previous Lesson. This builds your understanding systematically and thoroughly.

On the navigation bar, you’ll find links to each Lesson. Each Lesson has a video that is 10 to 30 minutes long, plus a chapter from my book The EFT Manual (3rd Edition).

Some Lessons contain a mini-quiz. You’ll need to complete it before the course will allow you to move on to the following Lesson. That’s intentional, so that you cement that piece of knowledge in your skill set before moving on to a subsequent one. Completing the videos and reading for Lessons 1 and 2 will take you about 90 minutes and I recommend you do this soon. If possible, watch the first video immediately after reading this Quick Start Guide.

From Lesson 4 onward, in each Lesson I train you in one or more new skills. Practice those skills in your daily life as often as you can, because these are what you will be sharing with others.

I WILL also send you an email every few days pointing out features of the course that you might find especially helpful.
Time Frame

I urge you to commit to your success and the success of those you serve by scheduling adequate time to complete The EFT Seminar. It will take you 5 to 10 hours total.

You’ll need several blocks of time to do this. This will take you less than an hour to read each and take the quiz at the end.

Experience has shown that participants are most successful when they schedule these study periods at the very start of the course. So please pick a time right now. It might be every Tuesday night after you’ve put the kids to bed. It might be every Saturday morning for the next weeks. It might be every Sunday evening after the activities of the weekend are past.

Whatever time fits best with your personal schedule, go to your calendar now and write it down. Enter enough time to complete all 7 Lessons and the final exam. Even if you have to skip one or two scheduled sessions as “life happens,” having them on your schedule signals your commitment to unlocking the full benefit of this course.

Bookmark the Log In Page

Please bookmark the home page where you log in. Keep a record of your password and username. You need to log in to get access to the course, and it’s annoying to be unable to log in because you’ve lost your password or username. Adjust your browser settings so that they autofill your username and password on the log in page.

If you have more than one email address, also write down the address you used to register for the course. Obviously the system will not recognize you if you try and log in using a different email address.

Always log in first. If you click on a saved, cached, or bookmarked page without logging in, you will receive an error message, so always log in first.

If you run into problems, such as getting a video to play, or a lost password, you can find the solutions on our “Help“ page, including customer service.

Your Learning Style

Each Lesson contains material in a variety of formats: video, and written PDFs. The reason for the variety of formats is that people have different learning styles. Some are primarily visual learners and prefer video.

You cannot download the videos but If you want to watch a video on your mobile device, simply log onto the web site and watch it that way.

The Mini-Quizzes and the Final Test

There is a comprehensive exam at the end of the course. Once you have passed this exam, you’ll see a button called Print Your Certificate at the top of the course home page. Clicking this button will enable you to print a Certificate of Completion.

Each mini-quiz contains 5 – 10 questions drawn from the final exam. The mini-quizzes prepare you for the final test. They may even contain some of the questions you’ll encounter on the final test, but because the questions rotate through a large pool of questions, you won’t get the same ones every time you take the test.

The mini-quizzes are based on the written PDFs only. They do not contain any questions drawn from the videos, which are intended as supplementary material. You can pass the mini-quiz or the final test if you just read the PDFs and do not watch the videos.

It is possible to complete the course along with the final test without watching any of the videos and this is the way you might want to do it if you are a verbal learner.

If you’re a visual learner, you’re going to find those media useful, but make sure you read the PDFs at least one time because they’re the basis for the mini-quizzes and the final test.

The mini-quizzes and final test are open book exams. I recommend you have the Lessons in front of you on the screen, or printed out, when you’re completing the exams. The purpose of each of the exam questions is not to confuse or baffle you, but instead to remind you of what you’ve learned.

If you don’t pass a mini-quiz or the final test at first, read the material again, then take the exam again. You can take each one up to 10 times, but experience shows that practitioners who read the course materials usually pass on the first or second try.

Standing on the Shoulders of Giants

You’re “standing on the shoulders of giants,” at the pinnacle of a long lineage of human beings who have used energy for healing. As you’ll discover in Lesson 3, that lineage begins in prehistoric times; the earliest evidence for Acupuncture comes from Europe and dates back over 5,000 years.

In the past century energy healing has become established as a scientific practice; on the site of the nonprofit National Institute for Integrative Healthcare of which I am executive director, we maintain a database of studies published in peer-reviewed medical and psychology journals. Currently it lists over 600 studies. A separate database of EFT studies lists over 100. This work rests on a sound scientific basis.

I celebrate the journey we’re on together, and the difference you will make within your own body and mind, as well as the healing you’ll bring to other people, in the days and months ahead!

Thank you for joining me here!
